Water Skiing
The original boating adrenaline sport, water skiers are changing with the times and picking it up a notch. Gone are the images of our grandparents strapping wood to their feet and motoring around at lake a "yawn" speed with barely a wake to show their passing. Today’s water skiers are using better technology to push the limits of this sport to go faster and jump higher or even go barefoot. Check out these links to learn more about this sport.

Wakeboarding
Combine water-skiing with a snowboard and you get wakeboarding. Similar to the dilemma of choosing between skiing and snowboarding, water-skiing versus wakeboarding is mainly a matter of preference. The basics of both sports are the same but wakeboarders are more known for catching big air and performing tricks such as board grabs. Fun to watch and even more fun to try. See these links for more information on this great sport.

Kite Surfing
A relatively new sport, kite surfing combines the use of boards (similar to windsurfers or wakeboards) and small parachute shaped kites called inflatables (single-sided) or foils (double-sided). Similar to its cousin, windsurfing, kite surfers can often jump much higher and fly farther than using a conventional windsurfer. Many cold weather fans also find that their kites can easily be incorporated into the sports of snowboarding or skiing. Check out this link for more information on the basics of this up-and-coming adrenaline sport.
